House Of The Devil

WRITTEN BY CHRISTOPH BOUET

I was lying in a corner
Saw my shadow on a TV screen
And the room starts to rumble
And a face in a flickering flame
With a purple red tongue
Told me about a trip
And a white star came along
And I got on a sunken ship

The full moon rises
And the house of the devil shines
The black sun ball arrives
Bright lights in my eyes

I reached a house on a hill
And I walked through the open door
I saw the face of the king
And the smile of the iron horse
There was no air to breathe
And no color and no morning light
Someone bared his teeth
Hit a shadow in a shadow fight

The full moon rises
And the house of the devil shines
The black sun ball arrives
Bright lights in my eyes

In the gray crowded rooms
Stood the boys with the golden knives
A rusty saw played a tune
Someone stumbled and someone cried
In the room of Love
Sat a maid and her jealous guy
She talked about his money
I saw a twinkle in his eyes
