Desert Poem

WRITTEN BY CHRISTOPH BOUET

Walk in the wind
On floating sand
Hear the silence
Of sacred land
Gravel and rocks
And sailin' stones
Lead us to lizards
Sun mirror throne
White heat is crawlin' home
Big blue sea went sinkin' down
True love is dreamin' of clouds
And I still fly
In the desert sky

Our giant ghosts
The trees are gone
Logs mountain high
Disappeared at dawn
Unreal and wise
The flower of life
So sad the glory
Of ancient times
White heat is crawlin' home
Big blue sea went sinkin' down
True love is dreamin' of clouds
And I still fly
In the desert sky

Oh birds, won't you sing
The melody of sun
Oh little creatures underneath
Won't you dance and drum
The promise of love
Below and above
And I still fly
In the desert sky
